Camino de Santiago

After a few cold nights, we’ve decided to head towards the coast where the mornings will be warmer, and we also really want to visit the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres. So today was mainly about driving east. We followed the Camino de Santiago route, albeit the wrong way. This is a medieval pilgrimage route, still popular today with walkers and cyclists. We did see some hikers who looked like they were taking it pretty seriously.

Big skies and empty roads

Our destination for the day was Zaragoza, which is approximately 300km from Burgos.

Toro

We camped overnight at a free municipal motorhome park outside a football training ground. It was surprisingly popular given that it is still winter. Tomorrow we’ll have a quick explore of the town before moving on.
